Before we left Arkansas, we stopped by to see cousin Charlotte, her husband Larry, and Aunt Pauline for a couple of days. What a great visit! We got the grand tour of Arkansas’s premier state park, Petit Jean (https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/parks/petit-jean-state-park). The ridge really stands out above the Arkansas River. Much of the construction was performed by the CCC. I sure wish we had a work program like that today!
We wanted to stay a couple more days! But alas, we needed to move on. We will be back!!
